Get to know Louise!

How long have you been doing hair & makeup?
I’ve been working in the industry for over 7 years, doing hair and makeup for commercials and TV shows, film, music videos, editorial and fashion shows. I never miss a wedding season and I do lots of events and private client makeups.

What are your career highlights?
Being able to do what I love most and constantly be requested as a freelance artist is definitely one of my biggest dreams come to life. Every project I’ve been a part of has helped me develop my art and my career further. I get to express myself creatively when working with top designers, develop believable characters and stories for brand campaigns and films, share in on the emotion when I’m doing hair & makeup for a bride or for a client’s special event.

Why do you love working on weddings?
Creating a bespoke look that compliments my bride’s features and personality is for me the highlight of working on weddings. I love the fact that my work brings confidence to women and they feel relaxed in knowing that I will make them look and feel beautiful.
The wedding day is filled with so many emotions and I’m grateful to be a part of such a loving circle of family and friends of the couple. Working under the pressure of such an important event definitely involves calming a few nerves, but I definitely thrive in that environment and feel truly fortunate to be a soothing presence for my bride and share the special day with her.

What are your must have products in your kit?
My signature style relies on a healthy, natural glow, which is why I always take my time with prepping skin and giving a relaxing face massage before I start the makeup application. My brides love my special techniques and it makes the world of a difference in the longevity of the makeup throughout the day.
I’m constantly adding industry staple products to my kit, but you’ll be able to find brands like Charlotte Tilbury, ByTerry, MakeUp For Ever, Chanel, MAC, Estee Lauder, Urban Decay, Kat von D, NARS for makeup and L’Oreal, Bumble and Bumble, Moroccan Oil, TIGI for hair styling.

Fancy name dropping some celebrities or big publications you’ve worked on?
Because I’ve specialized in commercial work, my portfolio is mostly a hub of major brands like NIKE, Rimmel London, Net-a-Porter, Amazon, Google, LV, Nivea, P&G, Primark, Porsche, Samsung, Toyota etc. My latest commercial was for Haig with David Beckham and the last TV Show that I worked for was an HBO series that’s being launched this autumn.
